No rest for the wicked…Posted in: Blog, Thing I do in my life
Nose to grind stone…
The saying no rest for the wicked is probably the most relevant to my life. I arrived back home at 9:30 am last monday got in the car (surprised it actually worked!) drove to Monash Uni and tried to cram in all the course info sessions I could. I got most of it out of the way but ad to get up early tuesday and finalise it. So Tuesday mrning, 8 am return to Monash. By 11 i was at work, which was a real relief. I had missed my friends in the office and the things i had been doing last year before i left. The rest of the week was much the same and i have slowly become swamped in work, study and parties to go to.
The student live is surprisingly more enjoyable than people had made me think it would be! I have almost finished my first week in Uni and have already learnt alot about commercial Law, which is probably the most interesting thing i am doing this semester! Oh yeah, and the homework has started pouring in…
This week, i set up a new website. It is called Lecture Talk (http://www.lecturetalk.com). I made it for people to discuss Lectures for the subjects that i am doin, Commercial Law, Accounting and Microeconomics. I make notes of what the lectures ’say’ in the talk and post it on this site. Check it out now!
The other notable thing i have done this week is join a marketing club at Monash Uni. They look like they do some really great things and I’m looking forward to getting more involved in the club this year.
Finally, this saturday I am giving a talk on Teenage Boys and Risky Behaviour in Brisbane. I gave a similar one in Melbourne last August but i think i am more nervous about this one than i was about that one. I’m going to post a recording of it up here by Monday this week so let me know what you think. Here is a link to the one I gave in Melbourne last year.

Hey Will!
Great to see you jumping into university life full-on. And I love lecturetalk.com, too… just wish you were doing MKF1120 this semester.
See you at one of the MMSS events!
Cheers,
Wags.
